Philippe Buchet
Born the 17th may 1962 in the Ardennes in France.
He starts his career by drawing for little cofee shop and sells some of his work. He won a drawing contest for preproduction movie. During 7 month, he created science fiction ‘s costumes and decorations.
Philippe Buchet moved in Reims as an independant illustrator and worked for many communication company. He get tired of it really fast and start a new job where he realised intern communication works, in the form of Comics book. Thanks to that company, he met Jean David Morvan, who offers him to collaborate for the French comics strip Nomad (Glénat). He decided to have a part time job to focalise on a new science fiction project with Morvan for Delcourt : Sillage. The set met a huge success, so Buchet tribute his 1st character Navis, by plushished in 2005 Blockbuster wich it’s full of costumes, hair style or vehicles for her ans more recently an artbook of portrait of this unusual character. Thanks to Sillage, he won the price “Essentiel Angouleme” twice, in 2006 and 2008.
